Grade CalculatorYou can use the Grade Calculator on this page to calculate the necessary Final Exam percentage required to achieve any grade you choose. How to use the Grade Calculator: Before using the calculator, you need to have estimates for your Quiz mark (out of 5), your Assignment (Online and Written) mark (out of 10), your Labatorial mark (out of 15), and your Midterm Exam mark (out of 25). Example: Suppose you are usually getting 2s or 3s on the quizzes, then you might estimate your quiz mark as 4 out of 5. If you are usually getting 5s or 6s for your WebAssign Assignment mark and 3s for your Canvas Assignment mark, then you could estimate your Assignment mark as 85% and enter 8.5 out of 10. Remember that your Labatorial mark is comprised of the Pre- and Post-tests and your lab reports. Suppose you estimate your Labatorial mark as 12 out of 15. And suppose your mark on Midterm Exam was 18 out of 25. Finally, suppose you want a prediction of what you need as a mark on the Final Exam to achieve a Grade of 75%. Enter your marks in the appropriate boxes and click the 'Do Calculation' button. The estimated required Final Exam % mark (72% for this example) will pop-up in an alert box. Also remember that your responses to the Poll Everywhere questions can earn you up to 5% bonus marks. That is, your Poll Everywhere mark out of 5 is a direct add-on to your grade for the course. |
