Sarah Moar French

Sarah Moar grew up in various parts of Canada, attending schools in both French and English. She teaches French and is honoured to be part of a community of people who have gathered together to learn from each other.

The daughter of proud Francophone and Francophile military parents, Sarah Moar grew up in various parts of Canada, attending schools in both French and English across the nation. She holds bilingual degrees in Biology, Education, and English Literature, and is currently working on a Masters of Arts in Language and Literature at the University of British Columbia. In between these degrees, Sarah joyfully spent a dozen years teaching a variety of subjects to high school students in Saskatchewan's francophone schools, primarily in Saskatoon, a city she is happy to call Paris of the Prairies (in the summertime, of course).

Sarah on teaching: It is an honour to be a member of a community of people who have gathered together to learn from each other, from the world around us, from those who came before us and from the prospect of those who will follow. I approach this honour with respect and trust, and I look for the joy in the midst of our labours. Let us be curious! And kind.
