Lara Guerrero joined our teaching corps in 2005. Lara specializes in teaching the Conversational Spanish 1 classes. Students say that Lara's classes are fun, relaxed, and give them lots of opportunities to speak in a variety of contexts. She is much appreciated for her non-judgemental teaching approach in a very engaging and collaborative course.
Lara on teaching: I learned to speak Spanish while living and working in Venezuela and then completed my BA in Spanish at the University of Saskatchewan. I believe that language is learned by using it and I strive to make my class interactive, inclusive and lively.
