Giuliano Gullotti teaches all levels of French and some Italian classes. His experience has been with l'Alliance française in Toronto, introductory French in Singapore, introductory and intermediate French in Rhode Island and Wimbledon. Giuliano knows how to aptly create a very comfortable and interactive learning environment for his students.
Giuliano on teaching: My teaching method focuses on the target language first and foremost. I can tailor my pedagogy to suit the students' needs accordingly, but will always try to focus on French as the primary vehicle of our lessons. I also believe in positive encouragement and constructive remarks, and emphasize practice to achieve the desired results. I am also a firm believer that a relaxed atmosphere can be conducive to retaining complex concepts. I look forward to everyone having fun in my classes!
From an Italian 1 student: "I have nothing but good things to say. He made everyone feel very relaxed and not afraid to make mistakes, which is important in an introductory course. He also made it fun, with lots of anecdotes about his growing up in Italy and sharing 'tips and tricks' for travelling there. He engaged the students regularly in exercises and provided lots of positive reinforcement. And he was always ready and willing to answer questions, no matter how basic."
From an Italian 2 student: "I thoroughly enjoyed the Italian 2 course and gained much new knowledge and confidence. It was also very helpful to be part of such an enthusiastic and dedicated group of students who worked hard to inspire one another.
However, the most important element in the success of this course of instruction was Giuliano’s leadership. He is an excellent teacher providing lively lessons full of insightful commentary along with constant encouragement, endless patience and engaging humour."
