Maya on teaching: My teaching practice centres on the emotional and physical experience of art for students. I believe that art can easily be woven into and pulled out of any aspect of our lives. We can utilize the art-making process to make sense of our environments as well as ourselves. My teaching style allows for flexibility, humour, and humility to be deeply intertwined in the experience of making art.
