Sculpture II: Torso and Appendages Study in Structure and Movement

Prerequisite: Sculpture II: Human Portraits

This course will focus on creating simplified torsos in various twists and leans in order to understand how movement affects form and volume. Students will build an armatures, review, practice and use measurements and proportions to replicate the human torso and appendages. There is continued and continuous development of additive sculpture skills with emphasis on observing, measuring, and working from the larger shape to the details.
