Who can take Community Arts and Artisanship classes?
Our adult classes are open to everyone 16 years or older. Youth aged 14 and 15 are welcome to apply for exceptional consideration by calling 306-966-4355 or via email at: gisele.piche@usask.ca. Affiliation to the University of Saskatchewan is not necessary nor required. We also have camps and classes for children and youth aged 5-13.
Can I get notified when registration opens?

How late can I register?
Students can register up to the second class when spaces are available.
Are classes guaranteed to run?
No. We reserve the right to cancel classes when there is insufficient enrolment, and decisions are made the week before classes starts. In these cases, a full refund will be issued.
Before buying supplies, please contact us for guidance if enrolment (viewable by clicking Register Now) is below 6.
What happens if I need to withdraw?
Withdrawing from a class prior to the day of the first class will result in a refund minus a $100 administration fee. There are no refunds issued after the class start date. We are unable to do transfers from one term to another term.
Where are in-person classes held?
Classes take place in the Williams Building at 221 Cumberland Ave North and the studio/room is listed on the class pages. Washrooms are located on the second floor and third floors. There is an elevator at the south end of the building.
Where can I park?
Public parking is available in Lot 4651 directly behind and adjacent to the Williams Building. Payment options are:
- Canadian coins at the meters
- PayByPhone (parking app)
- Free on Sundays
There is also limited-time parking on nearby streets, please check the signs for information.
Permit parking passes are available in the evening and on the weekend for the W Lot plug-in spots between the Williams Building and the graduate student residences. More information and purchase options can be found at Parking and Transportation Services.
The plug-in spots are for parking pass holders only and you will be ticketed if you park there without one.
What should I know about online classes?
Zoom links are sent out one day prior to class start date. Classes are delivered live/synchronously through short lectures, demonstrations, time to work on projects, instructor feedback, and class sharing. Classes are not recorded and personal recording of classes is not encouraged nor allowed.
Do you offer certificates?
Yes! You can work towards a certificate and an advanced certificate if you are looking to develop your art practice without pursuing a degree.

Where can I purchase supplies?
Supply lists are found on the class pages. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrolment, so please keep all your receipts in case you need to return items. Suppliers may periodically offer "back to school" sales or higher student discounts on supplies. Details of both ongoing student discounts and special sales are available through individual store links. Places to purchase supplies include:

How do I get my tax receipt?
T2202 tax receipts will be available on your account by the end of February, under My Reports. You should get an email notifying you when it is ready.
