Syllabus

For students who can express basic information about themselves and ask someone for that same information (name, age, address, work, profession, nationality, etc.). Counting, spelling and basic communication in class are acquired skills.

Students will master and learn to:

  • Ask for specific food items
  • Indicate the foods liked & disliked
  • Indicate & ask for the price of a food item
  • Ask for directions
  • Name colors
  • Use the articles Ein / eine
  • Give a description of a home
  • Describe rooms in a home
  • Name different pieces of furniture in a home
  • Mein Tag: daily activities
  • Indicate & ask for basic house information
  • Use & understand numbers 1 – 1,000,000
  • Indicate & ask for the time of day
  • Ask Ja / Nein questions
  • Use negative articles
  • Present tense of Mochten, Essen, Anfangen & Kennen
  • Use prepositions am, um, von...bis
