Why acrylic? I like the vibrant colours, the quick dry of the medium which allows to complete the painting in one sitting. The subject I chose was a challenge to myself. I always admired artists ability to capture the likeness of the person they paint. It seemed to me an extraordinary gift. But then I started studying drawing and painting and an amazing secret opened itself up to me how to capture what I observed. So this was something I never thought I was able to do and here I am, going for it, using all the tools I learned from studying on my own and attending Robin Adair’s virtual classes.
