Ages 8-13: Claymation Lab: Clay Characters, Creatures and Objects

Aspiring artists will start by drawing their character, follow that by building an armature, modelling it out of clay, learning mold-making techniques to form the core of their favorite characters, creatures & objects.  Pieces will then be fired. Students will then learn to apply underglaze to their finished & fired clay pieces which will be refired once the underglaze has been applied.

Only select colors of underglaze (clear, white, black, blue, yellow & red) will be provided. For this class, students can bring colored underglaze of their choice, which can be purchased from Tree Pottery Supply https://treesaskatoon.com/.
