When I am out in nature, I am constantly amazed at both its intricacies and grandeur. Summers at the lake afford the opportunity to witness many found delights. Water, clouds, rocks, plants, and the effects of light, all captivate me. Many of my discoveries happen while I am canoeing, or just steps from the shore.
With a camera as a frequent companion on my wilderness adventures, I am able to revisit these moments. Photos that inspire my art prolong the joy, and painting extends the experience. The process is like a dance, as I’m drawn in to observe more closely, and then step back out, and repeat. Welcome to a little piece of my world. I hope you feel the music too!
