Alexandra Finke

2023 Community Arts and Artisanship Certificate Graduate

I am an artist who is always seeking to create something in any capacity, with any material. I have always been drawn to colour and natural subject matter. Lately I have been focusing on capturing the natural beauty of landscapes and animal portraits with watercolour as well as a bit of experimentation with acrylic paint and glass.

I enjoy exploring nature through my artwork as a way to honour and preserve its beauty. Conservation of the environment is something I am also passionate about, which is why I chose to use repurposed frames and canvases for this show. A small step in preserving the art of mother nature so we may all enjoy her work for many years to come.
