This is the first painting I did in Rob Adair's Acrylic Painting II class. I took up painting about three years ago and found out I really enjoyed doing it. I wanted to learn different techniques so that I can learn to paint faster and looser and Robin's class offered exactly what I was looking for. I chose the reference photo because I am drawn to darks and lights, the contrast. But I did spend quite a few hours painting it. Hopefully my next painting will be done quicker.
