I took a photo of the scene painted here during a visit with my daughter in her yard this summer. The way the light shone on the plants, plus the shapes and arrangement of the pots and supports attracted my attention. I painted this after a discussion on dynamic symmetry in Robin Adair’s Acrylic Painting 2 class and it was fun putting that principle to work!
