Academic Advising

The Undergraduate Student Office (UGSO) offers in-person and remote academic advising apppointments. It is important to know that academic advising exists within a full complement of student services avaiable to support students. You advisor may refer you to other resources on campus, but you can also reach out directly.

Current students will find the link to book an appointment under the Arts and Science Channel in PAWS. New Arts and Science students must attend a Group Advising session before they can book a one-on-one appointment.

The UGSO has two academic advisors for Indigenous students who work in the Trish Monture Centre (TMC). Our academic advisors for Indigenous students offer holistic academic advising as well as information about on-campus and community-based programming, and communicate with post-secondary coordinators and funding agencies.

Appointments can be booked through the Arts and Science channel on PAWS. However, each week we reserve dedicated times for Indigenous students. These spots are available by calling our main office and indicating you are looking for Indigenous advising.

If you are an Arts and Science student studying at the Prince Albert Campus you can book a remote appointment with an advisor in Saskatoon through the Arts and Science channel, or you can book an in-person appointment with the advisor on the Prince Albert campus by calling our main office and indicating that you are a Prince Albert student.
If you have taken time away from Arts and Science and are looking to return to continue your studies, you should first reapply for admission to become an active student again. If you are unable to access the Arts and Science Channel in PAWS to book an appointment, you can call our main office to book an appointment.

If you are currently enrolled in another college at the University of Saskatchewan you can call our main office to book an appointment.

If you are not currently enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan see our Future Students page for information about prospective student advising.

Student Requests

Many common requets can be submitted and solved through our Service Desk. This includes requesting permission to repeat a course, increase your credit unit limit, and obtain a letter. You can also submit a graduation check or honours application.
