The Faculty Service Excellence Award was established in 2024 to recognize and reward faculty members in the College of Arts and Science for the extraordinary contributions they make to committee processes, College and university leadership, and collegial governance.
Since its inception, the award has been presented twice: Carla Orosz (School for the Arts) in 2024 and Rainer Dick (Physics and Engineering Physics) in 2025. The College continues to celebrate faculty members whose exceptional service strengthens the academic community and supports effective governance. A call for nominations will be circulated in Fall 2026.
