The webinar will focus on the transformative Indigenous capacities that contribute to self-determination through community-led emergency management and disaster recovery.

The event is the first in a series of webinars that aims to bring together students, academics, practitioners and decision-makers to meet, share and learn about diverse issues in, and impacts of, disaster response within Indigenous communities. Subsequent webinars will be held on March 11, March 25, April 8 and April 22. 

The series is hosted by Dr. Caroline Tait (Department of Psychiatry, College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan) and Dr. Simon Lambert (Department of Indigenous Studies, College of Arts and Science, University of Saskatchewan).
