Museum of Antiquities COVID-19 Updates (March 16, 2020)

The health and safety of our staff and all those who visit the Museum of Antiquities are our top priority. In response the COVID-19 pandemic, the MoA will be adjusting its operations effective March 16, 2020 at 9 AM.

To help prevent illness and the transmission of COVID-19, we will

  • Temporarily close the Museum of Antiquities as of Monday, March 16, at 9:00 AM until further notice.
  • Suspend all school programming until further notice.
  • Suspend Crafternoons and all outreach programming until further notice.

We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation and we will keep you up to date on the status of our Ancient and Medieval Adventures Camps, planned for July and August 2020. We are currently reviewing our camp  hygiene and safety protocols and watching how the current situation advances. In the meantime, we are still accepting registrations.

Welcome to the Museum of Antiquities

Welcome to the Museum of Antiquities! Featuring a collection of Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Near Eastern sculpture in full scale replica including the Charioteer of Delphi, panels from the frieze of the Parthenon, the Venus de Milo, as well as original ancient glass, pottery and coinage, the Museum of Antiquities on the University of Saskatchewan campus offers a rare opportunity for anyone interested in art or antiquity.

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday: 9am to 4pm
Saturday: 12pm to 4:30pm

Admission: Free (Donations are welcome)

Location

  • The Museum is located in Room 106, Peter MacKinnon Building, 107 Administration Place, University of Saskatchewan.
  • Metered Parking is available in front of the Administration Building, the University Club and the Physical Activity Complex (PAC).
  • Lot Parking is available in Lot "R" in front of the PAC and in the Place Riel Lot. There is also nearby parking in the Stadium Parkade on College Drive.
