Climate and Change: Making Sense of the Dustbowl Years on the Canadian Prairies

George Colpitts (University of Calgary), Shannon Stunden Bower (University of Alberta), and Bill Waiser (University of Saskatchewan) have launched a new website exploring the long-term environmental and social consequences of the 1930s dustbowl on the Canadian Prairies. The website was created as a way to unite “scientific explanations, striking images, essential maps, compelling audio, narrative interpretation, and newly-available video” materials for educators and students.
