Speaker’s bio:
Tara Cooper is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator based in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ont. Cooper’s art practice embraces an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach, combining media from print, ceramics, and film to installation and book arts. Also known as Weather Girl, Cooper demonstrates an endless curiosity with the natural world and a multifaceted esthetic that brings together impeccable material skillfulness with intelligence and a peppering of playfulness. Cooper is an associate professor in the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Waterloo.

This talk is made possible by the Mina Forsyth Lectureship Fund in memory of the late Mina Forsyth, a cherished University of Saskatchewan professor and artist.
