Info session: AquaHacking Lake Winnipeg 2020 Challenge
Learn about a startup competition and mentorship program that challenges youth to save one of Canada’s most beloved lakes
Hackers, start your engines! The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) is challenging youth from across the Prairies to save one of Canada’s most beloved lakes with the AquaHacking Lake Winnipeg 2020 Challenge.
AquaHacking Lake Winnipeg is a startup competition and mentorship program designed to spark tech and business development addressing environmental problems related to fresh water. Between January and October 2020, we’re challenging students and early career professionals from all disciplines to team up and develop innovative solutions to improve the health of the Lake Winnipeg Basin.
With $50,000 in cash prizes and local incubator space up for grabs, this is a great opportunity for anyone interested in entrepreneurship, technology, engineering, biological sciences, marketing, design, and environmental sustainability—or just looking for a fun way to learn new skills, connect with mentors, and make the world a better place!
