Dr. Jay Famiglietti (PhD) and Dr. Martyn Clark (PhD) have been identified by Web of Science as two of the most highly cited researchers in their field in 2019.
The Web of Science list recognizes the world’s most influential researchers—those who publish multiple papers that rank in the top one per cent by citations in journals indexed by Web of Science.
Famiglietti is a professor in the Department of Geography and Planning and the School of Environment and Sustainability as well as director of the Global Institute for Water Security. He holds the Canada 150 Research Chair in Hydrology and Remote Sensing. Famiglietti’s research group uses satellites and develops advanced computer models to track how freshwater availability is changing around the globe.
Clark is a Department of Geography and Planning professor and associate director of the Centre for Hydrology and Coldwater Laboratory. His research focuses on hydrologic models, the effects of climate on water resources and developing streamflow forecasting systems.
