This concert will feature Bachelor of Music and Master of Music students with repertoire composed by Radiohead, Maria Schneider, Pat Metheny, Tommy Banks, Patrick Williams, Astor Piazzolla and many others.

Tickets: $20 general; $10 students; sold at the door

Under the direction of Dean McNeill, the U of S Jazz Ensemble has toured western Canada, northern U.S.A. and Quebec, and has commissioned and premiered many new works for the contemporary large jazz ensemble idiom.

The U of S Jazz Ensemble has released six CDs in its Bumper Crop series and has performed with many acclaimed guest artists including Slide Hampton, Wycliffe Gordon, Al Kay, Jens Lindemann, Allen Vizzutti, Hugh Fraser, Jon Ballantyne, Brad Turner and Campbell Ryga.
