About the U of S Concert Band:

The University of Saskatchewan Concert Band, under the direction of Glen Gillis, is comprised of approximately 50 members. The ensemble performs a wide variety of artistic repertoire for this medium in various Saskatoon area and campus venues. The Concert Band was the first instrumental ensemble sanctioned in the College of Arts & Science's Department of Music in 1961. As the program grew, a second group was formed in 1974, first known as the Wind Ensemble and now the Wind Orchestra.
