The 2017 YWCA Saskatoon Women of Distinction nominees include three faculty and staff from the College of Arts & Science as well as several alumnae. Nominations for the awards in 10 categories were announced on April 7.

The YWCA Women of Distinction Awards are recognized nationally as one of the most prestigious awards for women. Since 1982, Saskatoon’s Women of Distinction Awards have honoured hundreds of women for their leadership and contributions to the Saskatoon community.

Award recipients will be announced at the Women of Distinction awards dinner on May 31 at TCU Place. Funds raised through the awards dinner support YWCA Saskatoon programs and services nurturing the well-being of women and their families.
