Before joining USask, Richard Zifang Lin worked in different parts of the world with Chinese L2 learners at both the post-secondary and K–12 levels, and supported university-level international students for more than a decade. His teaching experience at universities and high schools in the United States, along with long-term involvement in overseas intensive and immersive language programs, enables him not only to quickly identify students’ learning challenges but also to make language learning both efficient and engaging. He also brings experience in curriculum design, student coaching, and teacher training and mentoring. He is qualified to teach Chinese language courses across all proficiency levels, from introductory to advanced.
