About me
Dr. Joshua Rash is a Registered Psychologist with competency in Clinical, Health and Rehabilitation Psychology. His is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychology at Memorial University of Newfoundland who will transition to the position of Full Professor in the Department of Psychology and Health Studies at the University of Saskatchewan in Summer 2026.
Research
Dr. Rash’s innovative research in Clinical Health Psychology focuses on basic and applied research methodologies, including 1) cardiovascular psychophysiology and salivary biosciences; 2) systematic reviews and meta-analyses, including GRADEing evidence to inform practice guidelines; 3) development, refinement and evaluation of behavioural interventions; 4) conducting innovative clinical trials; and 5) implementing evidence-informed innovations into practice. In 2017 he founded and continues to direct the MUN – Behavioural Medicine Centre (MUN-BMC) where he advances a methodologically rigorous, highly collaborative and clinically impactful program that aims to improve quality of life among people who live with pain, mental health and substance use concerns.
