Research
Brenda is a PhD student under Dr. Maureen Reed in the School of Environment and Sustainability. Her research philosophy values collaboration and focuses on issues that are meaningful to participants (co-researchers). Her work contributes to creating a new institutional framework for business practices based on nature, equity and Indigenous ways of knowing and being. She is developing a conceptual framework involving internal and external organizational drivers: the dynamic capabilities of organizations (internal); and theories of finance and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) (external).
