Brian Pratt elected Fellow of Geological Society of America

Brian Pratt (Geological Sciences) is one of the newly elected Fellows of the Geological Society of America (GSA). One of the largest geoscience societies in the world, the GSA bestows about 50 fellowships annually based on scholarly achievement and service to the society. Pratt is a member of the GSA council and on the editorial board of its main journal. He will be recognized at the 2009 GSA Annual Meeting Presidential Address and Awards Ceremony in Portland, Oregon, in October.
