The Department of Economics Role Model Speaker
Dr. Lilia Karnizova, from the University of Ottawa, will give talk entitled “The Spirit of Capitalism and Expectation Driven Business Cycles.” The talk will take place on Wednesday, March 31, 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. in Arts 807.
Dr. Karnizova’s primary areas of specialization are Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics with a special interest in business cycles. In this presentation, she will discuss whether news about the future can be a driving force behind business cycles, a question that has recently been the focus of much attention and controversy among macroeconomists. This event will be of interest to students and faculty. Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you there.
