In this talk, Samaneh Movassaghi will focus on her experiences learning how to navigate the academic and corporate infrastructures in Computer Science and Engineering disciplines. In particular, there are unforeseen challenges that she wishes to discuss that would have been helpful for her to know beforehand that can guide those with less experience. Her roles in investigating startup potential can also provide guidance for students and others interested in securing venture capital for their entrepreneurial pursuits.

About the speaker

Samaneh Movassaghi is a serial award-winning technical expert in Generative AI, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Sensor Fusion. Her cutting edge research contributions have been acknowledged through various awards such as making a Breakthrough in Computer Science Award by Google, Postgraduate of the year award granted by the Australian Prime Minister on behalf of Australia's Computer Society, Top seven researchers across Australia's largest research organization (CSIRO's seven) to name a few. Her technical articles have been cited by over 3,000+ technical experts. She was handpicked by the grandfather of VC's in Australia upon earning the prestigious Google award to do technical due-diligence on startups with potential for 10X growth in the next three years.
