This talk will discuss how the Trade and Economic Development Offices represent Saskatchewan interests abroad and how they seek to connect Saskatchewan to global markets. Information will be given on how students can pursue international jobs through the Government of Saskatchewan.

Blair Hudyma is a seasoned international business specialist with a solid background in economics and commerce who has worked consciously to develop a broad understanding of international environments. He has served as a leader with the Government of Saskatchewan for over ten years and is currently the executive director of International Office with the Ministry of Trade and Export Development.

Scott Matthies joined the Government of Saskatchewan as the managing director of the Saskatchewan India Office in March of 2023, bringing with him over 20 years of international and domestic leadership experience. Matthies has a diverse background of leadership roles across multiple sectors, including international development, management consulting, agribusiness, health, and now international trade and investment.

The Global Café series is hosted by the University of Saskatchewan Department of Political Studies.
