USSU Excellence Award winners are chosen by students

College of Arts and Science students, staff and faculty have been honoured with 2023 Excellence Awards by the University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union (USSU).

At its annual awards ceremony on March 25, the USSU presented awards recognizing outstanding teaching, academic advising, enhancement to the student experience and more. Nominations for the awards are made by students.

Teaching Excellence Awards

Dr. Rachel Loewen Walker (PhD), assistant professor, Department of Political Studies

Dr. Neil Chilton (PhD), professor, Department of Biology

Paul Suchan, sessional lecturer, Department of Music

Dr. Barbara Fornssler (PhD), sessional lecturer, Department of Sociology

Dr. Steven Rayan (PhD), professor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics

Dr. George Keyworth (PhD), associate professor, Department of History

Academic Advising Award

Evan Potts, undergraduate student advisor

Vera Pezer Awards for Student Enhancement
