
Arts and Science alumni, faculty shortlisted for Sask Book Awards
Awards celebrate excellence in Saskatchewan writing
Thirteen graduates and faculty members of the University of Saskatchewan College of Arts and Science are finalists for this year’s Saskatchewan Book Awards.
The authors are shortlisted in nine categories of the annual awards program, which celebrates outstanding books by Saskatchewan writers.
Authors nominated in 2023 include history graduate Naomi Hansen (BA’17), political studies graduate Anne Lazurko (BA’86, Cert’87), and Department of English / MFA in Writing Program faculty members Dr. Jeanette Lynes and Dr. Sheri Benning (BA’02), each of whom are up for multiple awards.
Winners of the 2023 Saskatchewan Book Awards will be announced at a gala on May 4.
