Artist Bios:

Jeanette Lynes is the author of seven books of poetry and three novels. Her first novel, The Factory Voice, was long listed for The Scotia Bank Giller Prize and a Relit Award. Her second novel, The Small Things that End the World, won the Muslims for Peace and Justice Fiction Prize at the 2019 Saskatchewan Book Awards. Jeanette's latest novel, The Apothecary's Garden, published by HarperCollins Canada, appeared on the Toronto Star's Bestselling Canadian Fiction list through summer 2022 and is currently on McNally Robinson's Bestsellers list. Jeanette's non-fiction has been published in The Malahat Review and Event. Her poetry recently appeared in Quagmire Magazine. Jeanette directs the MFA in Writing at the University of Saskatchewan.

Carol Rose GoldenEagle was appointed as Saskatchewan’s Poet Laureate in 2021. In 2022, she was named a Member of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit for her years of cross-cultural work within the arts and culture community. Her first novel, Bearskin Diary, recieved the national Aboriginal Literature Title in 2017 and its French language translation won a Saskatchewan Book Award in 2019. Her first book of poetry, Hiraeth, was also shortlisted for a Saskatchewan Book Award in 2019. Her second novel, Bone Black, was released in the Fall of 2019. Her latest novel, The Narrows of Fear, was released in 2020 and was the chosen title for a 2021 Saskatchewan Book Award, and her latest collection of poetry, Essential Ingredients, was released in 2021. Her forthcoming works include two new poetry collections, Stations of the Crossed and Singing to the Moon: Indigenous Poetry for Children, which will be released in the fall of 2022 and in 2023 respectively.
