Adventures in Chemical Education for the Public: Chemistry for Informed Consumers
The need for better education of the general public regarding what is frequently referred to in the media as “chemicals” has never been greater. One small attempt to address this need will be described in this talk – a course given in the fall of 2016 under the aegis of the Saskatoon Seniors for Continued Learning organization. A brief introduction will be followed by examples of materials presented in this course, which was entitled “Chemistry for Informed Consumers”.
