The Visiting Speakers Committee in the College of Arts and Science’s Department of Art and Art History is presenting a free virtual artist talk with Tara Cooper.

Speaker’s bio:
Tara Cooper is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator based in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ont. Cooper’s art practice embraces an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach, combining media from print, ceramics, and film to installation and book arts. Also known as Weather Girl, Cooper demonstrates an endless curiosity with the natural world and a multifaceted esthetic that brings together impeccable material skillfulness with intelligence and a peppering of playfulness. Cooper is an associate professor in the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Waterloo.
