On March 29, 2019, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra performed Heinz Moehn's Music for Violin and Orchestra, a piece that had gone unperformed since its premiere in Germany in 1938. In this lecture, the University of Saskatchewan musicology professor Amanda Lalonde (with guest collaborators and performers) will share her research on the rediscovery of Moehn's musical life, his compositions and his connections with important figures of 20th-century music.
