This annual big band masquerade dance is a fundraiser for the USask Department of Music. It provides an opportunity for USask Jazz Ensemble students to familiarize themselves with the classical big band dance repertoire from the 1920s–60s and to work on their related musical skill sets. The band will feature USask vocalists. It will perform contemporary repertoire from the 1970s onwards so there will be something for everyone. USask students, their family and friends, and any/all community people who love the ballroom dance floor have traditionally attended. All are welcome! The classical and authentic traditional dance hall feel is provided by the Manhattan Ballroom, the perfect venue to set the scene for this joyous night where music meets movement.
