Christine Czajkowski comes from a family of “strong minded women who battled through many struggles in Poland during WWII and its after effects.” She presents a new body of paintings inspired by themes of strength, resilience and cultural identity. Drawing from a collection of family photographs, Czajkowski juxtaposes hard-edge geometries with washes and realistic passages to create abstract compositions that are at once dynamic and reflective.
