The SJO presents a “double header” meeting of the minds concert including Gordon Foote, one of Canada’s most well-respected big band directors. Foote will work with Saskatoon’s high school bands, adult community big bands, the U of S Jazz Ensemble, the Saskatoon Youth Jazz Orchestra and the SJO itself. The grand finale concert will feature the Saskatchewan premiere of the Canada 150 Suite with contributing composers including David Braid, Dean McNeill, Richard Gillis, Jeff Presslaff and many more!
Professor Dean McNeill of the Department of Music is the artistic director of the Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra.
