After defining its key terms, this presentation will explore the significance of Clare and Francis of Assisi, mapping select evidence for their witness for peace, justice and ecological health as expressed during their lifetimes and concentrating upon how their medieval example has been brought forward in the contemporary period to support socio-ecological ideas and action.
