What is MCM?
Teams consisting of three undergraduate students from all over the world compete annually in the MCM. Teams do not have to be Math students. However, they should be strong as a team, with complementary skills, such as math/physics, programming and writing. Teams pick and solve one of the given problems and submit a solution report online. Winners travel to USA and are awarded prizes.

The contest, hosted by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, takes place from Feb. 8 at 5 pm (EST) to Feb. 12 at 9 pm (EST). During those 4 days, students work together on a problem with team members and a professor from the department as an advisor. Registration and food will be covered. Rooms and computers/software can be provided for those who choose to stay and work at the Math Department.

Find out more on the contest website.
