About this event

Full Bandwidth showcases the dynamic range and creative energy of the Jazz Ensemble at the University of Saskatchewan. This end-of-term concert features an exciting program spanning the full spectrum of big band jazz—from straight-ahead swing to contemporary originals and fresh new arrangements. Alongside works by established composers and arrangers, the ensemble will also premiere pieces arranged by members of the band itself, highlighting the creativity and musicianship developing within the program. Full Bandwidth celebrates the power, precision, and expressive range of the modern jazz ensemble while offering audiences an evening of vibrant rhythm, rich harmony, and inspired improvisation.

The USask Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dean McNeill, has toured western Canada, northern USA, and Quebec, and has commissioned and premiered many new works for the contemporary large jazz ensemble idiom.
