About this event

The Department of History is pleased to announce the relaunch of the popular 7 Nights of History public history talks.

This year’s theme is 7 Days that Changed the World. Each talk will explore how one day’s events reflected earlier history and/or had an impact on subsequent history.

The talks will be held on the fourth Wednesday of each month, starting at 6:30 at Better Brother Brewing Tap Room on Queen St. across from Earls.

This year’s inaugural talk with be provided by Dr. Jim Handy, entitled “April 16, 889 AD (10.2.19.17.8 on the Maya long count): The Day the World Ended: The Collapse of the Classic Maya.”
