Miss Saskatchewan opens MFA exhibition

Miss Saskatchewan Janice Moorgen was on campus recently for an unusual ribbon-cutting ceremony. MFA student Biliana Velkova (Art & Art History) invited her participation in a performance work entitled Miss Saskatchewan, which used the visual rituals usually associated with grand openings and spectacle of community celebrations to officially open the MFA group exhibition, It's Not About the Landscape. The Miss Saskatchewan performance took place at the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery on January 23, 2009.
