Arts & Science students shine at NSERC USRA Poster Event
Many of the brightest undergraduate students at the University of Saskatchewan put their unique research on display during the annual NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council) USRA (Undergraduate Student Research Awards) Poster Event on August 28.
The winners of the event, all from the College of Arts & Science, were:
1st Prize: Nalia Kuhlmann (Psychology) and Robert Xiao (Computer Science)
2nd Prize: Brendan Elash (Physics & Engineering Physics) and Axel Guskjolen (Psychology)
Every year, following rigorous competition, a select number of undergraduate students receive NSERC USRA awards from the federal government. These awards—the most prestigious undergraduate awards in science and engineering in Canada—allow the students to conduct original research in their chosen fields of science and engineering. Every year the University of Saskatchewan recognizes and honours these outstanding science students by hosting this event.
