Congratulations Graeme Dyck
Graeme Dyck, is the first person in our university’s history to be awarded the College of Arts and Science's top award in (1) science and (2) the fine arts. Graeme received today the Arthur Collingwood Convocation Prize in Music, the Earl Bessborough Price in Science, the University of Saskatchewan Film Society Prize, and the Haslam Medal.
Kaplan Chair to enhance Music Department
With more than 30 years on campus before he retired in 1991, plus a continued presence as an emeritus professor thereafter, it’s impossible to measure the remarkable effect someone like David Kaplan has had on the University of Saskatchewan.

Welcome to the School for the Arts - Music, one of the oldest formal music degree programs in Western Canada and in one of the most beautiful campus settings across the nation. We have an established record of national and international interdisciplinary activities including a number of academic pursuits, performing ensembles, and a variety of outreach and engagement activities. Our faculty, students, and ensembles have been recognized nationally and internationally.
