Supervisor: Dr. Erika DyckUsing primarily children’s correspondence, magazines, and judicial records, this project explores how Western Canadian youth navigated puberty and reproduction during a period when nationalism, the mental hygiene movement, and purveyors of medical quackery fought to shape the values of Canada’s post ‘Great War’ generation of children.
