My interests lie in prairie history and applying Historical Geographic Information Systems (HGIS) to prairie history research. My thesis examines how urban municipalities in early Saskatchewan between 1880 and 1920 were a conurbation, or a continuous network of urban communities, through an analysis of how information transmission created and maintained those networks, as well as examining how they impacted the colonial project within Saskatchewan.
